L-Oustaloun, since 1990

Ustaloun, « the little house » in Provencal, has centuries of history in it. Abbey in the 16th century, town hall and prison during the Revolution, then carpentry of the village, it became today the first hotel-restaurant in the heart of Maussane-les-Alpilles, between the Baux-de-Provence, the Luberon and the Camargue.

After training at the hotel school in Savoie-Léman, Thierry regained his roots in Provence, where everything started. Marielle, for her part, left the pharmacy in Avignon to accomplish what she always dreamed of doing: receiving, cooking and caring for others. Together, they have made this old home a place where it immediately feels good.

For 36 years, they have pampered every corner of the house, refined every recipe and welcomed their guests with the same warmth, the one that is reserved for long-time friends. The Quality Tourism label in 2014 and the title of Maître Restaurateur in 2016 came to crown years of work and love of the profession.

For several years we have come to the restaurant L-Oustaloun. Everything is perfect there – the warm welcome of Thierry and Marielle, the decor of the room, the impeccable service and, of course, the delicious dishes that come out of the kitchen. Good products carefully prepared.
This time we booked 2 nights in the hotel – spacious room, very comfortable bed, we slept like
Babies. When you wake up, a delicious breakfast.
